We are seeking an experienced individual to work as a Logistics Coordinator in our Freight Department at our Headquarters location in Melville, New York, to oversee supply chain operations and ensure the efficient and cost-effective distribution of goods

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and providing efficient transportation and storage solutions for the entire lifecycle of our products, from the acquisition of raw materials to final product distribution.

A successful Logistics Coordinator will work to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations, and the desire to promptly resolve distribution issues using their strong negotiation skills.

Essential Job Functions:

· Invoice coding and review sign off

· Freight quotes — weight and dims and carrier options

· Assist Sage remote sites with shipping, billing, invoice issues and inquiries

· Create and manage online accounts for all freight vendors

· Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments globally

· Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy

· Making special shipping arrangements as necessary

· Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity

· Generate proper export documentation for Canadian and International transfers

· Harmonized Tariff Code maintenance

· Generate, sign, and seal Certificate of Origins

· Generate Certificate of Conformances

· Create Pro Formas

· Coordinate Trade Show shipments and clearances

· Electronically file SED

· Generate SLI (Shippers Letter of Instruction)

· Coordinate “nonstandard” freight and lanes for all sites

· AES (Automated Export System) filing and certifications, government required

· Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.

· Prepare accurate reports for senior management


· High School diploma/GED required

· Excellent communication skills – high volume of freight vendor contact

· Knowledge of Import and Export compliance

· Ability to work under deadline pressure and fast-paced environment

· Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

· Good collaboration and teamwork abilities

· Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Logistics software. Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
