Essential Functions:

  • Handle product carefully to prevent damage while packing/unpacking

Mechanical Project Engineer

LOCATION: Melville, NY

Job Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Headquarters team in Melville, NY, for design and development of a wide range of automotive and GSE specific parts and components. This position requires a hands-on individual with a high degree of mechanical skills, creativity, and experience with mechanism design. The ideal candidate must have the ability to complete designs from concept to manufacturing detailed drawings and interface closely with other engineering team members, quality control, product management, and manufacturing.  A proficient knowledge with SolidWorks CAD is a must. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new and enhancement of existing products
  • Create working prototypes for lab and field testing for proof of concept
  • Develop testing processes, perform testing and validation of new designs
  • Perform engineering calculations and numerical simulations to support design work
  • Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using SolidWorks
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
  • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience
    • Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and techniques
    • Experience in reverse engineering – produce 3D CAD models and 2D drawings from physical samples and/or existing drawings
    • Strong understanding (expert level) of GD&T principles and proficiency in the    principles/application of ASME drafting standards
    • High level proficiency in 3D modeling, with SolidWorks

    Accounts Payable Associate

    We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our Finance team in our Global Headquarters in Melville, NY.

    Summary of the Position:
    AP Associate will support the Finance Department by reconciling vendor accounts and ensuring that all invoices are entered timely and accurately. This position will handle a high volume of invoice discrepancies, vendor reconciliations, open Purchase Order and RPT review, credit card reconciliations and expense report processing. Below is a detailed list which includes, but is not limited to, the basic job responsibilities, specifications and qualifications.

     

    Essential Job Responsibilities:
    1. Vendor Reconciliations – manage vendor statements to ensure that all invoices have been processed and resolve any purchase order, invoice and payment discrepancies.
    2. Credit Card Reconciliations – ensure that all credit card transactions are properly recorded and up to date for each month end close.
    3. Expense Reporting – reviewing all approved expense reports and importing into ERP.
    4. Invoice Processing – entering all non PO invoices for expenses such as rent, professional fees, utility bills and car leases.
    5. Payments – responsible for selecting vendor payments on weekly cash requirements and preparing payments for review and approval.
    6. Purchase Order and RPT review – regular review and audit of the open purchase orders and RPTs older than 90 days. Requesting credits or refunds as applicable.

    Senior Accountant

    We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in our Global Headquarters in Melville, NY.

    Summary of the Position:
    Senior Accountant will support the Finance Department by preparing financial statements including account analysis and reconciliations, preparing bank reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts, managing external audits, filing appropriate tax filings, support the development of the yearly budget and assisting management with the day –to day operations of the Finance Department.     Essential Job Responsibilities:

    1. Month End Reporting – Oversee all month end closing tasks including but not limited to closing journal entries and account analyses. Financial statement preparation and review month end variance against budget explanations for multiple companies.
    2. Financials – Analyze all balance sheets and P&L accounts for all assigned companies. Prepare reconciliations for all significant balance sheets accounts including cash, prepaid assets, fixed assets, intangible assets, inventory, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Issue monthly branch P&Ls for comments by Operations and Senior management. Present monthly results to senior management.
    3. Budget –Support the development of the yearly budget and review actual financials against budget.
    4. Audit – Prepare all working papers requested for audits and tax return/provision including but not limited to (Year-end statutory statements, Income Tax, Sales tax).
    5. Tax – File monthly sales tax returns, Canadian PST/GST returns and VAT returns.
    6. Other – Assist management with day–to- day operation of the accounting department and special projects as needed.

    Essential Functions:

        Essential Functions:

        • Placement of purchase orders with suppliers based upon system-generated requirements information, confirming price and expected delivery date as required.
        • Expedite/follow-up purchase orders to improve or confirm expected delivery dates as required by supervision or business needs.
