Customer Service Representative

(Automotive Experience Preferred)

LOCATION: Melville, NY

Job Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Distribution Center at our Global Headquarters location in Melville, NY.

Essential Functions:

  • Handle product carefully to prevent damage while packing/unpacking
  • Read, follow instructions, and complete documentation sign off per process for all shipping & receiving activity
  • Verify counts to customer orders, transfers, and packing lists and notify the Manager of any inconsistencies
  • Properly package all products to prevent damage and during shipment
  • Order and maintain an inventory of packing materials
  • Notify Manager as necessary for any concern or issues with a receipt such as broken boxes, damaged product or other
  • Maintain and assure compliance to all health and safety standards per government & company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as directed

Minimum Required Experience or Education:

  • Strong knowledge in drivetrain, gas/diesel engines, axles, and transmissions
  • Inside sales experience
  • Knowledge of over the road and industrial tires a plus
  • Must have ability to read and comprehend parts and service manuals
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must have good analytical and writing skills
  • Spanish speaking a huge plus

Branch Manager

LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

Job Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking experienced Branch Manager to join our Distribution Center at our location in Los Angeles, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate Activities: Plan, direct, and coordinate functional areas of activities, including receiving, order processing, materials management, and cost control.
  • Monitor Operation’s: Monitor the flow of work throughout the warehouse, investigating unusual delays, and/or problem areas, and then take appropriate action.
  • Assure Communication: Coordinate activities and assure communication between departments, shifts and customers. Participate in and conduct a variety of meetings to coordinate warehouse activities, control processes, and to address problem areas.
  • Plans, Objectives and Goals: Ensure all operating objectives, goals, and performance standards are communicated throughout the Operation. Hold all staff, within the Operation, accountable for meeting and/or exceeding these specific goals.
  • Work Schedules: Assure appropriate work schedules and staffing levels while reducing the incremental cost of utilizing overtime labor.
  • Training Programs: Assure the availability of appropriate supervisory and employee training programs for both new and existing employees.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Ensure that good housekeeping and safe operating procedures and practices are followed throughout the facility.
  • Petty Cash Account: Control and manage all incoming and outgoing receipts keeping account up to date and accurate.
  • Retail Sales: Work closely with Retail Sales Manager to ensure customer satisfaction while in the same time increasing our customer base.

Minimum Required Experience or Education:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years Supervisory Experience.
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
  • Must fluently communicate and write in English. Any additional languages are beneficial and would be considered an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Mechanical and Technical aptitude and/or experience would be considered an advantage

Quality Assurance Manager

LOCATION: Melville, NY

Job Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our Distribution Center at our Global Headquarters location in Melville, NY.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reports and analyzes Reliability KPI’s
  • Proposes and Implements Sage quality policy and standards
  • Develops and maintains required facility/equipment certifications
  • Prepares and directs the monthly Quality meeting to raise to the attention of the BU steering committee the quality issues that are not properly managed or under control.

Management responsibilities

  • Supervises the Quality team of Sage
  • Participates in the selection of manpower for the department, evaluates their efficiency, and suggests proper training and professional development
  • Facilitates and trains quality department staff to ensure the departmental objectives/indicator are met and maintained, ensures department keep continuous improvement
  • Prepares department’s annual budget

Quality System Management

  • Manage the DMS and CPA Process
  • Facilitates the process for ISO 9001/14001 and other certification, developing policies and procedures for full implementation in line with the group procedures
  • Assigned as ISO Management Representative
  • Leads formal and informal internal audits of all materials, processes products, and systems as needed
  • Manages the Environmental audits of the documentations and the facilities for the local regulation compliance
  • As owner of the DMS system for Sage, assures that:
    • All required documentation is logged and managed in the DMS system
    • All other document systems migrate to the DMS
    • Participates in established standards & procedures for continuous improvement.

 Supplier Quality Coordination

  • Coordinates with Engineering/Product teams to manage supplier quality.
  • Leads formal and informal audits of vendors, performs supplier evaluation and follows-up improvement projects with supply chain department
  • Confers with representatives of material and component suppliers to obtain information related to supply quality and vendor quality standards
  • Coordinates quality issues of on-site production, proposes correction and preventative actions for suppliers on Non-Conformance parts, provides the supply chain team with the proper data for claims for compensation from suppliers for NC-Non Compliance parts if needed

Quality Inspection Process

  • Leads First Article inspection process with related departments
  • Analyzes all procedures, inspection techniques, and inspection equipment and implements improvements that will enhance inspection effectiveness
  • Supervises and controls all incoming inspections, warehouse picking inspections, assembly line self-inspections, adjustment & testing routines as well as green tagging inspections
  • Establishes, revises and maintains all incoming inspections, warehouse picking inspections, assembly self-inspections, adjustment & testing inspections as well as green tagging, and outgoing inspection systems, equipment, gauges, records, and print files, in accordance with company Quality Assurance policies
  • Supervises and trains that all staff is skilled and knowledgeable in state-of-the-art inspection techniques and Quality Assurance policies to minimize scrap and rework, increasing profitability, improving quality, and assuring customer acceptance of products
  • Shares information with sister plants about quality problem of parts or pre-assembly and to unify quality standard of TLD group
  • Ensures the internal communication and corrective action plans, as of the continuous improvement plan.
  • Must be able to Write and speak English
  • Manages the GREEN TAG Process (delegation of this GT process must be approved by COO)

Warranty Management

  • Monthly analyzes the WC report
  • Ensures that the factory develops a corrective action on all reported and accepted.
  • Manages and follows the associated actions internally and externally
  • Other tasks as required by CEO

Minimum Required Experience or Education:

  • Education: Graduated from University – degree in a technical subject.
  • Inside sales experience
  • Language: English writing and speaking capabilities. Must have ability to read and comprehend parts and service manuals
  • Mindset: Proactive and influential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Specific Requirements

  • Knowledge of modern quality assurance and environment systems, including ISO 9001/14001.
  • Knowledge of the GSE products ( Ground Support Equipment).
  • Familiar with aviation/aerospace regulation and rules.

We are currently seeking experienced Buyer to join our Distribution Center at our Global Headquarters location in Melville, NY.

Essential Functions:

  • Placement of purchase orders with suppliers based upon system generated requirements information, confirming price and expected delivery date as required.
  • Expedite/follow up purchase orders to improve or confirm expected delivery dates as required by supervision or business needs.
  • Problem resolution for accounting and receiving discrepancies, particularly with respect to communication with the suppliers for purchase orders the buyer placed.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation / records of communication with the supplier
  • Resolving pricing / lead time problems that do not meet the business needs, in the commodities and products that the incumbent has experience of.
  • Improving inventory performance with regards to service levels and preventing long term and future issues through planning and market place awareness.
  • Creating and documenting Supply contracts to suit short and long term business needs, with Support from management.

Principal Decisions:

  • Supplier selection to achieve the optimal cost for the business, no limitations on prior history.
  • Price negotiation to improve / maintain the business cost position in the market place or to correct delivery challenges.
  • Supplier commitments to improve / eliminate inventory and lead time constraints.

Problem Resolutions:

  • Difficult cost/delivery negotiation issues with minimal supervision or guidance, providing a win-win situation for the business.
  • Supplier and Supply Line selection to improve/maintain the business cost position.
  • Inventory commitment decisions to achieve business goals regarding inventory level, Inventory turns and Service Levels.

Minimum Required Experience or Education:

  • Minimum 5 years purchasing experience in an Automotive or GSE Parts related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management (or Sourcing) in an Industrial market place.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Automotive parts marketplace.
  • Fluent in Written and Spoken English. Additional languages are beneficial and would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills.
